ORLANDO, Fla. -- An Orange County judge has denied bond for the mother who is accused of beating her 3-year-old son because he wet his pants.
Officials say Robin Greinke, 26, and her boyfriend Steven Neil, 33, beat the young child to death. They both face charges of aggravated child abuse, child neglect and first-degree murder.
WFTV was there when they were taken to jail on first degree murder charges.
Greinke was supposed to appear in court Friday but because she was on suicide watch she did not appear until Saturday morning.
Neil was also denied bond at his first court appearance Friday.
Investigators say Greinke and Neil ate pizza after kicking and beating the boy into the floor and wooden sofa frame. Once questioned by investigators the two admitted to beating the boy because he wet his pants.
Police said they first got a medical call early Tuesday, but an autopsy report proved that the case was a homicide and that Fake's death was caused by blunt-force trauma.
After we got the word it was not a medical issue, (the mother) basically confessed to what had occurred, said Detective Jim Solomons of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
According to the arrest report, Greinke told the detectives that Neil was beating her son for about an hour. The report indicated the scenario as "...grabbing and forcibly throwing with velocity Noah Fake's head first into the lower wooded portion of the living room sofa multiple times.
Detectives said Greinke also admitted she participated in the attack. The arrest report described the participation as "...poking him several times in the middle of his chest, squeezing his facial cheeks very hard and kicking him."
There is an indication there was alcohol involved during the incident, and the word is the infant soiled his pants, which caused one or both (adults) to become upset, Solomons said.
The arrest report said Neil denied ever touching the child and further denied drinking alcohol or taking prescription pills. He is being held in jail under no bond, detectives said.
We seem to be seeing a LOT of stories like this out of Florida. Are there more instances happening there or better reporting and/or police work catching these people?
Florida doctor. “Oh, your kid has meningitis. Viral or bacterial, either or. OK, you can go home now.”
These people happen to be from Illinois and were down staying in Florida. I lived in Florida for over 30 years of my life...it has become a 3rd world hell hole in so many parts as it has been flooded with trash from everywhere.
At least she looks haunted.
These animals should receive the same death sentence that they used on the child. Anything less than that is too good for these slimes.
Me, too.
So much happens now that has crushed any hope I have for mankind.
Damn, it’s descending fast..
These bottom dwellers have no moral compass at all, and the base animal instinct to eliminate another male's offspring takes over.
“Theres no animal more dangerous to a child than mommys boyfriend.
“but because she was on suicide watch”
Rather he and she were on homicide watch.
Watching for the folks who were coming in to beat both of them to death for harming a child.
Thanks for the info
I believe society will reap what it sows. For every little Noah Fake that dies, a hundred (unscientifically speaking) survive, badly damaged, to pass on the pattern of abandonment and abuse to their offspring.
Not long ago I read a book title “The Sociopath Next Door”.
The author made the case that fully 5% - 1 out of 20 — of us are sociopaths. I think she was talking about America. I wonder if destructive (liberal democrat/fascist/islamofascist/neocommunist) social policies and legislation can raise the proportion of sociopaths among us? What is the ratio of sociopaths to general population in Detroit, Tripoli, Moscow and Newberry, SC (my little berg of 11,000...rhymes with Mayberry)?
Tie a Cinder block around their ankles and throw them in a cess pool to drown.
No human being could beat a child for an hour, they belong in a cess pool.
“Okay, my take is that suicide watch for these two ought to mean the deputies leave the supplies for it in their cell and then watch them do it.”
Agreed.
I so hope that the other prisoners get at least one crack at them. I also hope that the prosecutor goes for the death penalty. If these “people” don’t deserve to be executed, who does?
Amen! We can trust that He is just.
Things like this make me wonder if there really is a God, or if we’re simply animals, no different than hyenas or fish, or insects - we’ve just been lucky in the overall scheme of things on the evolutional ladder (and evolution does not discount the existence of God in my view, for what it is worth). On the other hand, if there is a God, a loving, merciful God, perhaps he sends these souls back to earth as innocents, to atone for past sins in the quickest way, and places them at the mercy of sinners to give the sinners themselves a chance to atone for current sins. Just waxing philosophical here. Not interested in getting flamed by fanatics of any stripe, but if you’ve got some genuine and serious thoughts to share, I would welcome them.
The child was 3 years old. He was not an “infant” or a “baby” as reported. At 3 he wasn’t even a toddler. I’ve noticed reporters make this mistake again and again. Irritating.
You’re right. this is different than the person who lashes out suddenly in anger. This is a sustained, sadistic attack, long past a momentary loss of control.
