Do you live in Columbus? OSU has done great harm to the city. Waaaay too much influence, straight into the Mayor's office and city council; don't even get me started on how they manipulate business.

Revenue? Yes, businesses ride their coat tails, but OSU football's $100 million in annual revenue is kept on campus, while our taxes that support said campus go up every year, as does tuition.

Ohio State generates more income producing activities than virtually any other entity in the Columbus area. OSU is a generator, not a drain.

They have waaay too much influence in this town. Yeah, they spin off some cash into the area, big cash, but is it worth the price? Downtown Columbus development is targeted by OSU so it can protect its turf. They try to stifle progress in the rest of the community if they feel it poses a “threat.” Google, “OSU-Nationwide-Dimon McFerson-John McConnell-Greg Lashutka-NHL” and you’ll get the picture.
