The left wants violence & will not quit until they get it. I suspect they’re probably disappointed it’s taken this long........

They used to be able to instigate violence with impunity and claim that they were the party defending themselves.

Now everyone has a camera on their cell phone, and conservatives video political events as standard operating procedure.

They lost half their play book.

AND GOOD FOR THEM, BRAINLESS!!! Labor unions in this country have done little other than create the most corrupt bunch of government bureaucratic thugs that could be imagined, the Congressional bunch as included. They have run industry out of this country in a stampede in an effort to remain competitive on a world scale, and the result is that there are now new jobs except government bureaucratic jobs and thugs to fill them and thugs to promote the unions. The unionists and their spoiled-rotten families need to get warm and cozy with what the working stiffs out here have to live with day by day. THE PLAYING FIELD AIN’T LEVEL FOR US AND IT SHOULD’NT BE FOR THEM, EITHER. You’re either with them or against them. Choose a side; just choose the RIGHT ONE loser, ‘cause you won’t get a second chance.

I haven’t read the bill that passed, but will teachers union dues be voluntary and not mandatory?

I believe the bill makes Wisconsin a right-to-work state.

No more payroll deductions!!!!!! Totally voluntary!!!!

Let me make one suggestion, a tactical one. The Republicans need to adopt tactics that in responding to the attempts at outright intimidation, they start to divide the opposition. This can easily be accomplished with a little finesse.

While the Democratically controlled unions seek to suggest a "United Front," the different locals in almost any State will reflect a considerable variation in actual rank & file opinions. The so-called "Reagan Democrats," who provided the margin for victory, came mostly from blue collar labor. Regardless of what the parent union leadership may claim, they have never been able to hold the ideological loyalty of many of their local members, when those members are properly approached.

My thought is that the vulnerability of the demonstrators lies in the antics of the teachers' union. The NEA agenda is not an agenda typical of most of the rank & file of the other unions, in the Madison demonstrations. Address the anti-American, anti-family antics of the NEA, and you might just collapse the whole gambit. (Of course, it needs to be done with finesse, not anti-union rhetoric. The specific misuse of its position by the NEA, not that it is a union, must be the focus.)

Looking at his archives I dont see him saying something similar when Obama-care was rammed through with budget reconciliation.

As I recall, it was rammed through without budget reconciliation.
They gutted another Bill that had passed reconciliation, replaced the contents entirely, and called it good.

All behind closed, locked doors.

And they called it legal, proper and Constitutional.

GOP's shenanigans? Last I heard, it was the state's DEMOCRAT Senators who had high-tailed it out of Madison, and were holed up across the state line. The GOP Senators are the ones who are IN TOWN and doing their jobs.

Typical compost.

This evening, Wisconsin Repubicans took the drastic step of breaking up the budget repair bill

Nothing "drastic" about hiding in Illinois though. Can you guess where this writer's sympathies lie?

RE :"As I recall, it was rammed through without budget reconciliation. They gutted another Bill that had passed reconciliation, replaced the contents entirely, and called it good"

I forgot all about that. They had to do that because the Senate was writing the new tax law that the constitution says only the house can. So the Senate used another DOA bill the house passed with taxes in it and replaced all the text and the title, to make it 'constitutional'.

In that case the house was historic for all the bills they passed. The MSM said only who wins counts, not how it was done.

Walker could have reached a deal with unions and very plausibly declared victory... However, he really kicked their ass, not plausibly, but for real.

That was the beauty of the Walker move. The liberal sore loser stuff sounds pathetic given the Senate Democrats fleeing. I posted the same thing when M Moore said “This is war” last night on Maddow, it went “You mean they weren't already waging total war?”

Waging total war and then losing because the other guy turns out to have a bigger nuke than you is not a recipe for sympathy. You think many people sympathized with the Japanese August 1945?

The WI GOP isn’t bi-partisan.

It is bi-winning!

I posted the DEATH!!!BOMB!!! email on a basketball board that I frequent in their OT forum. One liberal actually replied as follows, and I quote...

“My point was that there's no reason for media and Democrats to address the email. If it is legitimate, why haven't the national news outlets picked up on this story?”
