Probably most of this is gasoline prices.
We can USE this as an opportunity, though, to EDUCATE people as to his failure as a leader.
Why aren’t the Republicans screaming about gas prices and how Obozo is responsible for them. Hold hearings. Call press conferences. Beat the drums. Do something.
Obama’s in the pocket of Arab Oil
>> Probably most of this is gasoline prices.
Pay attention to the Dems local political strategy. They’re rebuilding the Big Evil Oil theme.
As Obama would think (or say) never like an opportunity pass you by.
He is spending a BILLION dollars to try to lie some more.
Thank God most I speak to are awake but there are the rare ones that think Obama is great and is trying to clean up Bush’s mess.
They think that republicans are for the rich and democrats really feel they’re pain.
The republicans are just sitting there letting Obama be above the rule of law while he destroys this country. So they are no better and have their share of corruption and being bought and wasteful spending. I think we need to clean all of them out in voting until they really change. Until then we are screwed.
WE do not have the gonads to do what it takes. The demonRATS constantly made erroneous statements in regard to everything...the war, the economy, President Bush in general...and drove his ratings into the toilet for no real reason. We on the other hand, have every reason in the book to hammer the horrific policies of this regime, and we do nothing. Wouldn't want to upset the moslem squatting in the People's House as he may issue a fatwa against us.
Exhibit A:
Pelosi: Where Are the Jobs, Mr. President?
August 1, 2003
Washington, D.C. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the Bureau of Labor Statistics announcement that 470,000 people abandoned their job searches in July and that 3.2 million private sector jobs have been lost since President Bush took office:
The fact is that President Bushs misguided economic policies have failed to create jobs. Since President Bush took office, the country has lost 3.2 million jobs, the worst record since President Hoover. And today we learned that in July nearly half a million people gave up looking for a job.
Job losses are taking a real toll on the financial security of American families. While Democrats are fighting for opportunity, jobs, and economic security for working families, Republicans continue to focus on helping those who need help the least.
According to todays survey, while the national unemployment rate dropped slightly, it still stands at a near record high. In addition, the unemployment rate for African Americans was still over 11 percent in July, and the unemployment rate for Hispanics was 8.2 percent in July.
It is time for President Bush and the Republicans to get to work for all Americans, not just the elite few.
FACT: 6.2% is not even close to the record highs of the Carter and Reagan years.
July 1993 unemployment = 6.90% and July 1994 = 6.10%
July 2003 unemployment = 6.20%
NOTE:
When the CURRENT unemployment rate drops .10% it is all happy days are here again and we are out of the recession and onto recovery. Never-mind the fact the rate is 3-4% higher when it dropped .10%. In 2003 it was onto the race card.
Also, we had just opened another battlefront in the WOT...following a terrorist attack on the homeland which hit the financial sector in a huge way.
