last night we were going through some old VHS tapes, and ran across Bill Clinton’s State of The Union speech in 1995 I believe. I commented to my husband that I never thought I’d see the day that Clinton sounded “ good” to me. Of course that was comparing to this present administration!!!!
I DO remember Carter....it was NOT like this...
Believe me, Carter was bad. (I'm old enough to well remember the Truman presidency and worked actively for Goldwater in 1964).
As horrid as were the Carter years, they don't even begin to compare to the abomination now occupying the office at 1600. The upside I see is that Carter ultimately begat Ronald Reagan. After the trainwreck of O'Babmi, I think a move to the far right is inevitable and that gives me hope for real change.
