I predict by summer when the cost of gas production always goes up, Obama will drop to an new all-time low in approval numbers...
Meanwhile, it continues to astound me how there are people on both sides of the aisle who actually think no one can beat Obama in ‘12!
You have to remember that the press was relentless in its negative stories when the fuel prices topped out in 2008 ("working people can't afford to get to work! Poor people can't afford to go to interviews! The tourism industry is devastated!").
With Obama in, we are seeing very, very few of these kinds of stories now, and that affects the attitudes of uninformed and uncritical voters, of whom there are millions.
true, they use a different, more expensive kind of gas in summer time, so it’s going to get really expensive.
I am one of those people who thinks that SO FAR, no strong GOP candidate has surfaced. Not saying that one won’t appear, but IMO, a core Conservative winner, the one who will hit the Usurper where it hurts and send him back to Kenya where he belongs..has not yet made his or her presence known.
Don't believe it. A lot of that is whistling past the graveyard puff talk. The Dems know full well what the situation is. They more they talk about 'unbeatable' you can be sure their internal polling is going badly...............
I don't know about both sides of the aisle, but I do know that the Dems and the MSM have been engaged in a massive propaganda effort over the past few months to paint the GOP potential field of candidates as weak and no real challenge to The One. They have also been playing Whack-a-Mole with Rep candidates, systematically destroying them as their name emerges. This includes highlighting every gaffe or rumor.
Bottom line: Anyone who believes that Obama is unbeatable in 2012 is a victim of Dem propaganda or has an IQ of a rock.

Part of that is what’s perceived as a weak field of candidates on our side. A lot of people have been convinced that Palin is “unelectable” by the mainstream media / Democrats and don’t like the other choices either (or think they have much of a chance).
One thing I’m afraid of is that they’re gonna do exactly what they did last time - pit us against one another, so WE end up destroying every possible viable candidate because they’re not 100% what we demand in a candidate, with the hopes of our top dogs knocking each other out, and ending up with a completely lame and unelectable candidate... like McCain. End result? They win and they didn’t even have to destroy us.
