If you can't ride two horses at once, you probably shouldn't be in the circus...

Your tag seems to fit you... I like it.

Yes, thanks, I got that. I think the radiation level level must be very, very high near the buildings, the fact they had to do fly-overs with the helicopters because of the radiation level above the plants gives you an idea of some of the radiation in the area.

NHK is reporting:

* Approximately 500,000 homeless.

* 299,762 people are in 1,979 shelters.

* Food, water and gasoline for generators are in short supply.

* People are starting to get sick due to the cold.

* They say that most people have not changed their clothes or underwear since the disaster.

Most Freepers can probably guess how quickly disease can get started under these conditions. People are packed closely together, in the cold, with poor hygiene and water rationed.

They need our prayers!

Poweer cable should make a huge difference if when it’s completed and there on site. Many other oprions they couldn’t do when the Tusammi hit they will be able to do...of course depends on what they have still in tact and they only know what that is.

Terrible though is the hype about this. Media loving engaging the listeners with all sorts of fears and fright. Playing out the Obama agenda continues to run it’s course to have a “green society” in the US. Oh how I detest the mans ideas and lack of for our country.

It’s hard to tell exactly what you’re referring to. I’m not doubting you and I’ll be interested in whatever you have to share.

I’m going by what I’ve seen over the last few days compared to the media and judging by what has stood up better over time.

anyway, thanks, look forward to it.

It would be a lot worse if not for the cold and snow which has prevented the smell and decay of dead bodies, fish and animals still out there. God brought the cold and it is keeping the spread of many disease and such at bay...

Don’t agree...they will defend their own interests and report accordingly...too many have already errored already...especially Tepco.

I really don’t see any need for acrimony, I was trying to be courteous.

Rueters has a blog going of professionals etc. who often link to good information which varies....generally better during the day and early evening...moderated and many are saying one of the best for up to date information...though I’ve noted sometimes later than others.

You really need to find some bloggers who are familiar with Nuclear....they are generally going to have somehting well worth the read and you get a good feel for what’s happening..Also they communicate and argue over what’s happening...the truth generally surfaces for an eye to see.

Primarily, though there is danger to the people on the site and nearby areas, this crisis is way blown up becuase it’s a huge political issue....for the International community... whose push is to get away from oil, gas and nuclear....unless they can make a buck at it which is where the carbon taxes etc. come in. It’s all a hype and done on purpose just as the Gulf oil spill was.

I am fortunate in having family members familiar with how things work chemically and otherwise, also a son in the Military who has high security clearance....both have excellant resources as well...and they too say if you are going to be concerned it is for the workers at the plant who have been exposed to radiation. Everything else will be minimal even in the worst case situation.

To support Tepco can’t be trusted for information...read this on our very own Freeper site here. A bit of history on their reporting before this crisis.

“Tokyo Electric Power Co injected air into the containment vessel of Fukushima reactor No 1 to artificially “lower the leak rate”. When caught, the company expressed its “sincere apologies for conducting dishonest practices”.”
