You have stated the obvious, probably correctly, but he will be faced with a do or die, lose, proposition. When I evaluate the possible alternative curses of action to save his butt and get a second term, war is the only choice.
Barring another attack on US soil, there isn’t a war possible that the majority of Americans will support, let alone use as the primary reason to re-elect Obama.
