I believe Liza Burton was adopted by Elizabeth and Richard Burton.

Elizabeth Taylor was a friend of Ronald and Nancy Reagan and really liked RR.

“I believe Liza Burton was adopted by Elizabeth and Richard Burton.”

Your thinking of Maria Burton-

In this timeline, August 6, 1957 it says,

“Aug. 6, 1957
Gives birth to daughter Elizabeth Frances Todd.”

http://www.twoop.com/people/elizabeth_taylor.html

Under 1964 it says,

1964
She and Fisher begin the process of adopting a daughter, Maria.

March 15, 1964
Marries Richard Burton.

1964
After Taylor marries Burton, Maria is adopted by Burton and takes his last name.

It can get a bit confusing:)

What a Babe and a Half. When I was a kid in the 1960’s, with the exception of “Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf, my brother and I never missed a Richard Burton or Elizabeth Taylor movie. She was an Icon from an age when being and International Movie Star really meant something and what talent.
I guess the only two actresses left alive from the old golden age are Olivia de Haviland and her sister Joan Fontaine.

Well at least Michael was a talented guy once, Liza however, I truly believe if fate had dealt her a different mother we wouldn’t even know who she is.

My favorite movie of hers and Burton's is probably "The Taming of the Shrew".

Mine Too!

If anyone reading this thread has not seen that movie, find it somewhere and view one of the best Shakesperean plays ever filmed!

Words cannot convey how great a movie this is.

Elizabeth Taylor, you are one for the ages.

Nope, real people.

Although come to think of it the adjective ‘real’ might be a stretch....

They look like they are wearing masks or are wax. Sad.

[If you’re around tonight and have TCM, watch Paul Newman’s mini-documentary on Taylor]

When is it on?

The eyecolor isn’t right on either of these closeups. She had “violet” eyes: dark, dark blue that looked to be that color, anyway.
On our local radio, the host is talking about how she was the last of the “real” movie stars. Callers are supposed to come up with the name of a current actress who is in the same class as ET. FAIL!

She was a stunningly beautiful woman and a fine actress. I understand she was very kind and warm. My take is that she was also a little kooky, but......that’s Hollywood!

May she rest in peace, and may God comfort her loved ones.

She was brilliant in that movie. So was Burton.

I do believe Sophia Loren is the most beautiful, elegant woman I have ever seen. But Liz Taylor was a also a stunning beauty, no question.

Sorry, I don’t have the schedule with me. I’m sure they’ll run it. It’s only about 15 minutes long.

You lend a whole new air of trash to the term “tacky”.

If you can’t say something nice, STFU.
