Ummm, if you look at her life, the multiple divorced, “classy” is not what comes to mind . She was very beautiful and an okay actress (great only in A Place in the Sun) whose career was ruined by her marriage to Richard Burton.

She actually was a wonderful actress. Like Natalie Wood, she was a very natural, unfussy actress and that fools alot of people into thinking there was nothing there. She’s absolutely brilliant in “Virginia Woolf.”

Personally, I will take that kind of movie acting any day over the mannered, self-conscious stuff dished out by Meryl Streep.

For the most part, I agree with you. Taylor starred in several great movies but was not an exceptional actress. And her relationship with the drunk and socialist Richard Burton was not something to be proud of.

Not a fan, but I hope she RIP.
