I remember going to see Cleopatra as a 16 year old. We had to get advance tickets and drive to Des Moines to see it. The show was interrupted a few times with a flickering screen. When we came out of the theater and drove home (about 50 miles), we could see the effects of a severe Iowa summer storm.

But what a movie and what an actress. My favorite movie of hers and Burton's is probably "The Taming of the Shrew".

If anyone reading this thread has not seen that movie, find it somewhere and view one of the best Shakesperean plays ever filmed!

Words cannot convey how great a movie this is.

Ah, I had forgotten “Taming”.

You are right. Gawd, that was hilarious!!! They both did Mr. Shakespeare great justice. One could tell Burton was enjoying every minute of it, lol!
