Do you think Michele Bachmann can win the GOP nomination? (Freep this Politico Poll)

t’s easy to dismiss Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) as bomb-throwing back-bencher who is eying a presidential run largely because her attempt to secure a post in the House leadership was stymied. There’s a long history of camera-hungry House members making improbable runs that have served mainly to highlight their irrelevance.

Can a Bachbot be a Palinista at the same time and in the same manner?

I don’t think Palin will run either. I think she’s far more effective speaking freely which she can’t really do as a candidate.

"I’m not supporting Bachman for the nod, but I’ll just point out that the same thing was once said of Gerald Ford."

You are aware of the fact that Gerry Ford was never on a national ticket, right? He was appointed to the VP slot by Nixon after the resignation of Agnew resigned in disgrace.

I would also point out that the only reason he got the VP nod is because the Dems gave to Nixon a very short list of people they'd approve, and Nixon was told that Ford would face the easiest confirmation precisely because Ford was a RINO - hell, Ford may have been the biggest RINO.

True. Then when Ford appointed his own VP it was a RINO/Globalist wet dream...Nelson Rockefeller.

That's right. Ford got the same list that Nixon got, only shorter - not that Ford needed the list. There were plenty of fairly conservative people he could have selected, but never would have thought of.

Michelle can win if every FReeper that would like to see her (or Palin’s) presidency would go to their caucus and get elected to become delegates and keep moving up the chain until the national convention is loaded with patriotic conservatives. The party leadership will fight like cornered weasels, but enough delegates can swing the day.

Whether she can win it or not, I like to throw a monkey wrench in Politico’s assumptions. LOL

I don’t either but, I would not mind her throwing her hat in the ring. In fact I want Donald Trump to enter the race too.

I want to have them state their cases and have others on the record with their responses. You know Michelle is going to go after the debt and The Donald will go after China and the BC! Plus he is so dang arrogant it will be fun to watch!

Yes I like Sarah Palin and I think she is a very valuable weapon in the fight to restore the Republic. Everybody does not have to be President to do good work. Personally I think she would have way more power if she would run for the Senate.

It would look better if the red-white-red curvy lines between Palin and Bachman was a red and white lipstick stain.
