I watched the Pentagon briefing today on C-SPAN. The US is still flying the bulk of the combat missions. We fired 200 cruise missiles compared to 8 for the rest of the coalition. And now we are using ground support aircraft to go after the Libyan military blowing up barracks, trucks, tanks, etc. In essence, our role is not just a no-fly zone, but rather, close-in ground support for the rebels and the destruction of the Libyan army. I wonder how many have been killed and will be killed.
And then if the rebels win, we will have to deal with their retribution, which is a given in the Middle East. And exactly who are the winners?
My question is how many US Special Forces are on the ground in Libya right now? I bet that it is over 1,000
The Rebels are no longer fighting like crap. It shows that there is some SOF on the ground there.
