I just got here and read some of the comments and I don’t get all the glum faces! These results are very good news for the anti-unionistas. since the fleabagging imbroglio began the unionista thugs had painted the events as a fait accompli for the Republicans prospects and they painted the public in WI as firmly on the side of unionistas. If after all that favorable media coverage that the thugs have been getting in the past month, the state is still firmly split in half on this issue it is very bad news for the unionistas and great news for the Governor and his reform agenda. I’ll look to see the Governor even more resolute and determined the day after tomorrow. That’s how I see it.

heres why.

Pubs write bill, pubs in both houses pass it, pub gov signs it. Dems run to courts and get it over turned.

this will go on and on and on. The balance of power (lib/pub) of the states supreme court is at stake here.

great news for the Governor and his reform agenda.

Wrong! If Klopp wins, there will be NO REFORM as the liberal court will block every legislative action Walker and the republicans try. It will be gridlock until the next election when everyone will say ‘Walker didn’t get anything done’ now I guess we’ll try a democrat again.

I agree. I think it is the Obama Effect, and even in Wisconsin there is Democratic party disillusionment.

I agree. Prosser winning is best but walkers mandate remains in tact regardless. Full steam ahead on the gop agenda. I wonder what returns were like in the recall districts.

Love your optimism! You’re right of course. And the unions, no matter how this turns out, can’t have made many new friends. And resulting investigations should wear away any credibility they have left.
