Ryan's heart is in the right place, but it would have been best if he did not make any proposal.

So many "conservatives" on this board are seemingly convinced that "all is hopeless" and propose to simply "give up".

Color me "suspicious"...

That total B.S. What many of us are doing is looking objectively at the reality of governments at all levels. It is truly frightening what his happening. I am quite involved in Tea Party activities and various PACs.

Believe me, most Freepers will NEVER give up. What we see year after year is weak leaders saying they will act, but fail us. The Tea Party is a very positive development.

Those who cherish Liberty never give up; it's not in our DNA. It is just that with Ryan's proposal, many are being falsely assured that "finally we can turn the beast around." Sorry, no sale for this proposal.

I an stunned that some many who call themselves Conservatives think this is a solution to our budget problems.

Ryan’s plan puts off a balanced budget for more than TEN years. Ten!
