I don’t mind him being an emotional guy as long as he does a good job for us.

Some people are just deeply touched by events and having Republicans give him a standing ovation after facing the hate wall of the Muslim in the White Hut and his awful minions, I am sure he was touched that his homies backed him up.

My graddad was easily moved by love, graditude or sadness to tears. He did not blubber, but his eyes filled up. I loved that tenderness about him. He was a strong guy and a manly man who loved deeply.

Great to hear a touching story about your beloved granddad!
Not to be crude or crass, but the topic here is elected officials. They should be strong and loving. Yet there is a distinct expectation that US leadership show, well, leadership. President Bush showed leadership. Yet he surrounded himself with policy wonks that spent too much. The “shellacking” that we the people gave to the Democrats and RINOs is just a start. For all things there is a season. I do NOT subscribe to those advocating CWII. Yet we must help our elected servants make the difficult decisions. Just as we have with our own families and businesses. Tough love.
