Your right. They should have started off asking for the 61billion in cuts. Then when the rats countered with 30 billion they should have said no and then proposed 70 billion. Then next time 100 billion. Until the rats finally figured out the pubs have grown a pair and agreed to the new terms.
Funny. I was thinking the same thing. what they were haggling over is chump change. The amount of 30 or 60 is irrelevant. They should have been discussing 300B vs 600B. At some point this Congress or future congresses WILL have to deal with spending. I just don't think we have the right team to stand together and fight this right so how this ended up was fairly predictable.
We need new management in the Republican party and need to replace Boehner.
