Trump is on the attack for now, but we do need to look at the skeletons in his closet that would be brought up in a general election campaign.

When businessmen open their mouths in politics, I think of Perot who was the vote splitter for Bill Clinton.

Right now I see Trump as a vote splitter in the GOP race.
The polling data puts him in second place behind Mitt Romney.

Is that the end result of a Trump candidacy that we want?

When polls showed Perot winning in 1992 he went kooky and pulled out, then re-entered the race once his numbers dropped down.

If Trump gets too close to a winner in the future will he burst his bubble to give Romney the nomination?

Is that the end result of a Trump candidacy that we want?

I’m voting ABB - Anyone But Brack. I’d vote for the nominee of The Rent Is Too Damn High Party if I thought he could beat Brack.

Trump has a Leftist perspective historically. I cannot understand why anybody in their RIGHT Conservative mind would consider this blowhard Leftist simply because of his performance with regards to the Obama Birth Certificate coverup.

In my mind the most essential goal is to restore American ideals such as reaffirming our Constitutional Republic, and restoring respect, and integrity to our leadership, to our White House, to our Presidency. That rightfully should be the most respected office of government in the entire World, and we should be doing everything we can to restore that respect to that office in the form of a real leader who respects us, our Nation, and our laws.

Seems to me we don’t need to follow up a Leftist Communist Party hack with some self serving, self marketing, bad hair, anything for a buck clown.

Well, if he’s the nominee going up against Obama (or any other Marxist), he’s got a lot to bring to the table to help this great country, IMO.

He’s a straight talking, no BS, non-PC, intelligent business man who has a lot of credibility in and out of the US, IMO. He knows how to bring a company back from bankruptcy, who’s to say he couldn’t do the same for America?
_______________________________

Trump’s stance is radically different from anyone in Washington – both Republican and Democrat. His basic premise – and possibly future campaign slogan – is making America respected again. In a series of interviews on Bill O’Reilly’s talk show, Trump outlined the following positions:

Foreign Policy

China – Threaten them with a 25 percent import tariff if they refuse to appreciate the yuan faster. The mere threat of a tariff would induce the China to revalue the yuan.

OPEC – The US economy can’t handle oil prices at $100 per barrel. Make OPEC lower their prices. When pressed by O’Reilly for specifics, he didn’t give any details except that if the message is delivered the right way (by him), OPEC would listen. He also said the US protects Saudi Arabia with their soldiers, but the latter doesn’t pay anything for that protection.

Pakistan – They know where Osama Bin Laden is. Cut off all financial aid to Pakistan until they hand him over.

Iraq – When the US leaves Iraq, Iran will immediately invade and take over the country. By then, the US will not have the appetite to go back and fight Iran. Instead, occupy Iraq’s oil fields indefinitely and take their oil. Trump also said throughout history, the US has been the only country that conquers another country only to hand it over to someone else (often an enemy of the US).

Libya – The Arab League said they want Gaddafi out, but they’re not giving any financial support to the cause. Make them pay for military efforts to oust Gaddafi.

Wall Street

-No additional regulations. Otherwise, Wall Street wouldn’t be able to compete with London, Zurich, and Hong Kong.

Defense Spending

-Trump implied he’ll increase defense spending, build better weapons, and have better intelligence so that the US military can achieve its goals with fewer human casualties.

Immigration

- The US border with Mexico is a joke. It should be militarized so that no illegal immigrants can come in. Moreover, doing so would stop the burgeoning US-Mexico trade in illegal drugs.

- For illegal aliens already in the US, decide on a case-by-case basis who can stay and who should be deported or jailed. It’s a lengthy process, but Trumps believes this is the best option.

Social Issues

- Pro-life and anti-gay marriage. However, America has bigger problems than these two issues, which shouldn’t be the focus of presidential elections.

Taxes

-Simplify the tax code and make it fairer. When pressed by O’Reilly for specifics, Trump didn’t give any details.

During the interview, O’Reilly pointed out that jobs will likely be the number one issue in the 2012 election. He asked what Trump will do about it. The latter answered that the United States is being abused by everyone and is the “whipping boy” of the world.

He said if he stops the abuse and makes the US respected again, economic problems like the poor jobs market and the budget deficit will be much less severe.

Trump’s stance seems controversial, especially his aggressive foreign policy. It’s also risky.

However, the status quo of the US isn’t that appealing either; America’s economic and political position in the world has undeniably slipped in the last ten years. Moreover, for the first time ever in US history, young Americans can expect a lower standard of living their than parents and grandparents.

If Trump were elected to office, he would change America’s current trajectory.

He probably will not win, and I’m not sure to have him as a US President. Having said that, him as a candidate will bring out some issues that might not receive any attention otherwise. The bc is one of them. The guy knows how to manipulate the media. He will surely stir the primaries.

I would most defintely vote for him over Obama.

I believe trump is immoral, but I also believe he would take exactly ZERO guff from enemies foreign or domestic, and believe he would be far better economically.

As it is, the primaries will work all of that out. I do not believe he will be the nominee...but he is carry good water on a number of issues, including Obama's origins.

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH ABOUT OBAMA'S UPBRINGING

ok- I know this sounds crazy- but all of trump's birth certificate talk happened after Palin came back from Israel and a private meeting w/ Bibi N. ... what if, just maybe Bibi gave the goods on barry to her... what if Trump is working with her? and what @ the meeting in palm Beach Fl. a while back ..How is all this connected or is it?... Trump, Rush live there in Palm Beach.. I know this is wishful thinking, but oh how I wish there was a behind the scenes efforts by some in power to save our country and expose the fraud!!

If Trump was President right now do you think we would be better off or worse off?

If my son's Australian Shepherd "Molly" was in office she would be better than Obozo.

“I’m going to campaign for him. AT LEAST HE LIKES OUR COUNTRY.”

And he’s an actual natural born citizen.

And a well known successful businessman.

Who is polling really well.

Who opposed the 9/11 mosque.

Who has truly great leadership qualities.

Who is pro-life.

Who is NOT afraid to say the Emperor is wearing no clothes.

Who is articulate and great on his feet, and passionate.

Who is PRO BUSINESS.

The only thing I don’t like is his past of contributing to Dem candidates at times. I understand the excuse that he was a deal-doer doing mega construction and so forth, but, I don’t like that.

However that is at least one thing I don’t like about every candidate, so it isn’t a deal breaker for me.
