Koran burned in Iran (video)
The Washington Times ^ | April 11, 2011 | James S. Robbins

Two anonymous young men in Iran, one Iranian and one Afghan, have burned a Koran in protest. This seven-and-a-half minute long video shows the two men, their faces obscured, holding the Muslim holy book and reading prepared statements. Afterwards they stand the Koran on a flat rock, douse it alcohol and light it. The book burns fiercely, and after a few moments one of them sprays more alcohol into the flames. The video ends with them warming their hands over the blazing book.

I don't know what's behind this act, but if it is a demonstration about free speech and the hypocrisy most Muslims exhibit, I say good! At least those two get it.

I just wonder who the religion of peace will threaten to kill this time.

Oh, I think this way is better. Hopefully, it means some of the younger generation understand that it isn’t the book itself or the piece of cloth used as a flag: it is the words and message that matter.

Instead of rioting over a burnt book, or flag, or silly cartoon, sit down and talk out the differences like civilized people.

There is no discussion with the muslims.

Either we kill them or they will kill us.

I think the US Government should send Lindsey Graham over there post haste!
He needs to instruct these young men in proper protocol and politically acceptable behavior before they start another war!

Do they not believe it was “allah’s” will that it get burned, anyway? Inconsistent when you think about it.

Dol, ‘some of the younger generation understand that it isn’t the book itself or the piece of cloth used as a flag: it is the words and message that matter.

Most of the older generation are also kind and genial folks whom, in the passage of time have offered “the shirt off their backs” to a thus wandering & stranded Christian.

Rab.

Oh I suspect Muslims will die first and last. It always seems to work out that way.

Muslims burning a Koran.

Hey, doesn’t that entitle the Christians to decapitate some Hindus?

“offered “the shirt off their backs” to a thus wandering & stranded Christian.”
That’s true even with WW2 Germans, Vietcong, and in general
a small portion of all our enemies. A broke clock is right
twice a day, that doesn’t mean it’s always right.
Eventually it’s going to be up to the mooselimbs themselves
to put an end to their jee hawd or get wiped out with the
rest. I don’t see that happening any time soon.

“Terry JONES launched the move....He must be praised for that.”

Those two young men in Iran (if this thing was for real) put themselves in danger of a horrible death. On the other hand, when Terry Young burns Korans, he’s putting other people in danger. For recreation, he disrupts funerals of fallen soldiers and somehow is accorded “free speech” protection.

Terry Jones: A real class act. Stand up, Terry. How about a Koran up your ...

I wouldn’t be surprised if Jones is some kind of commie plant to make Christians and therefore God loving Americans look really bad. Sounds like something the enemy would do to me.

I just wonder who the religion of peace will threaten to kill this time.

And how long before the US President will condemn this act of intolerance and demand they be held to account!
