OK - I’m impressed. And a little scared that it’s so much worse than I thought... Thanks for sharing.

And above all, when you hold any of your wealth in the form of US Dollars, when government prints more of them, they are stealing wealth from you for government’s own benefit. One result of this is the price of assets like land and precious metals goes up in dollar terms even though there is no change in wealth. Government gives itself the power to define that increase in dollars as “profit” and “income”, and to levy an income tax on it.

Fiat money when combined with a tax on incomes is the grandest scheme of theft in all human history.

unfortunately, you’re full of sh*t. conservatives were screaming about the housing conditions being set up by dodd and frank... while the progressives were screaming for more. hell, conservatives have been screaming since carter started the ball rolling, but that was before we had an outlet like FR

conservatives were also upset over spending from 2002-2008, although backed off a bit due to being on war footing with (other) people bent on destroying this country while trying to rebuild a military gutted under bjclinton.

we’ve also been screaming about the debasing of the currency. it’s not wall street that undermines the value of the dollar. that would lie solely with congress, the president and the federal reserve (a private organization). the fact that the market recognizes the currency manipulation and moves to correct it goes to show how astute they are. the fact that anti-capitalists, such as yourself, seem to think “the rich” are at fault goes to show an utter lack of understanding towards the economic factors that underlie everything

and no, i’m not your typical conservative. proper conservatives would try to be polite when dealing with types such as yourself. of course, the left depends on that and has used it to get us this far. well, the time for politeness is at an end.

thanks for stopping by. you can go back to DU now. you’re kind, progressives.. left or right, are generally not welcome as they are intent on destroying the country

Nice graph!

For those that don’t get the hint, buy silver and gold!!! Prices are not too high, think of it as wealth preservation.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated...

Matthew 6:19-21 (King James Version)
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Actually, this article can be summarized in one sentence: "In a mature economy, saving doesn't work."

Unfortunately, it just about the only wealth tactic "wise" people have been taught.
