I can condense the article a bit:
Subjects of a government are treated as though they own nothing, repeat NOTHING, life included.
Anything can be taken away from the subjects at a moments notice and transferred to the government (or its designate) for it's use or pleasure.
And, no, it doesn't matter who is in power.
