If you wonder whether Donald Trump is serious about running for president, tune in to the finale of “The Celebrity Apprentice” on May 15.

Trump plans to say on the NBC show that he will be holding a press conference in the next few days. At that press conference in the Trump Tower in New York, Trump will be announcing his candidacy for the presidency.

Even then, many will snicker that it’s all a publicity stunt. But that defies the facts and common sense.

Of all the people on the planet, Donald Trump is the last person who needs more publicity. And if he is riding a groundswell of support, why would he—or anyone else—decide not to run?

Since writing the first story in January to report that Trump will definitely run, I have been amazed at how much the idea of a Trump presidency is catching on across the political spectrum. As I wrote in my story, Don’t Underestimate Donald Trump for President, he can be outrageous and boastful. But when it comes to a successful run at the presidency, don’t count him out.

No. It starts with a government that is within its Constitutional limits. Then you have a true fat tax, preferably sales tax, which should be around 10%.

I do not take Trump seriously and neither should anybody else.

If anybody truly believes that Trump is a true (conservative / moderate / liberal / whatever), I have some prime real estate in the Everglades I'd like to sell you.

Trump is a "Trumpist" looking for all the suckers that are born each minute to help him increase his net worth.

The danger with Trump is that he is narcissistic enough and rich enough to pull off a third party "Ross Perot" in 2012, split the anti-Obama vote and then get Obama back into the White House with less than 50% of the vote.

The reason that Trump is getting so much attention is that the rest of the current GOP declared candidates and teasers are unknown newbies with zero name recognition outside their base or old retreads with name recognition that most American voters are sick and tired of or just plain can't stand.

What the GOP needs is a serious candidate, without a Reality TV show, with an "Unfavorable" poll rating well below 50% that most of American voters do not already consider to be the punchline of a joke.

Any so-called conservative that is currently so irrational that he or she is dead-set on securing the Republican nomination for a candidate that starts out with Unfavorable poll ratings above 50% and Believed Unqualified poll ratings above 70% really needs to put down the bong, wait a few days until sobriety sets in, then seriously ponder what four more years of Barack Hussein Obama in the White House will mean to the destruction of the America that their grandfather loved and fought for.

Many FReepers keep asking me which current candidate or teaser I support since I am obviously against their favorite (who just happens to have national poll ratings lower than whale scat at the bottom of the ocean). My current answer is:

D. None of the Above

The candidates or teasers that I am absolutely AGAINST in the primaries are the candidates that I am absolutely convinced will GUARANTEE the reelection of Barack Hussein Obama.

It's as simple as that.

The issue here is not IF but WHAT KIND of taxation is best (minimizes government intrusion and maximizes free-market capitalization and wealth).

I noted Trumps interviews (ca. 2006/07?) with Hannity as user mnerhing asserted that Trump was "extremely left" until a few weeks ago. An assertion that is demonstrably false. Other users here concurred with my recollection that Trump presented himself as pretty conservative in the interviews and the distinct impression was that while Trump was by no means a great conservative in the Barry Goldwater mould, Trump was a conservative that had fallen off the reservation over opposition to the Iraq War.

So, bugger off with your asinine Beiber comments. I actually don't really know what you mean by that.

No way in hell I'm voting for Trump in a primary or general. I'll write in Harry Browne before voting for Trump. And Browne's dead.
