Cool. He gets it. The GOP is acting. The tax cut extension in December was a clever ploy as was passing the “repeal” of Obamacare. They are going to increase taxes and keep the Loot coming at all costs. we got Suckered. At least I did.
The more I read about this the more I am flabbergasted at the complete and utter disconnect between the GOP leadership and the American electorate. The Dems actually have a better understanding of the message that was sent in the 2010 elections than Boehner, Cantor, McConnell, etc.. They know the electorate wants huge cuts in spending and that the only way to protect themselves from further vengeance was to co-opt the Republicans into supporting this continued massive spending. So now we have this complete fraud of a budget “cut” and it’s the GOP who are taking the heat for selling out the mandate they received from the American voters less than 6 months ago. I think we were all concerned that this might happen, but I don’t think most of believed that it would happen so quickly and completely. The CR deal was an absolute capitulation by Boehner and Co.. They need to go - now.
