All clear now here in South Carolina. Tornado watches expire at 9 PM ET. I see the tornado watches from this system running all of the way into central Pennsylvania.

Yes, while we were eating our dinner I started to hear the “pings”. It hailed for a short while and now it’s all over. No rain here anymore. It’s all headed your way, stay safe.

Thanks Backwoods-Engineer, for your information. I am concerned about 2 deaf people in that area. One is on NC 96 going to Youngsville area and one on 401 S. in Louisburg. I can’t contact them because of power outage in that 2 areas.

My daughter-in-law is in Fayetteville. She just texted that there is a city-wide blackout. My son is on manuevers or whatever. She’s going over to a friend’s house for tonight. Hopefully things will look better in the AM.

OH my. Glad your daughter-in-law is ok and can go to her friends especially since the hubby is away. Salute to your son by the way. We’re proud of him. 8D

“looters reported. Not sure where this is.”

Wherever it is, it’s DEFINITELY not Japan...*sigh*

All clear here now. Damage reported to an elementary school in Gloucester County, plus reports of damage up towards Williamsburg. Locally, we got just severe storms.

Prayers for those south of us...

I’m not familiar with that organization. Can you provide a link?

I’d been holding out hope that there would be no fatalities here in NC, despite the clear severity of several of the tornadoes.
