As I ponder candidates for 2012 and listen to the logic for various Republicans, I am thoughtful of the underlying dynamics that are in the President's favor. The reality of the demographic almost assures Obama's re-election. The best Republican candidate is the one who can reverse these demographic forces.

It would lead into the explanation of/for foreign policy which would encompass military action, etc.
We don't need to discuss abortion, or NPR or any of that shit ... just drill and refine.
A pretty iffy proposition, given the latest numbers; nevertheless, people need to be aware that another four years of Premier Hussein will certainly result in the disappearence of the United States both as a world power and as anything even faintly resembling the Beacon of Democracy it has been heretofore.
Are you better off today than you were in 2008?
If we can’t beat this marxist prick with ANY candidate, it’s over. After 2 years of treasonous acts, if we can’t elect a Conservative to save America, this country is finished. And let me predict right now that if this moron is re-elected, it will give added license to every fringe and anti-American left-wing radical group to increase their attacks. If muslims see this POS re-elected, watch out. Stop this criminal at the ballot box or forget it. It’s NOW or NEVER!
we need a Liberal nominee as a GOP that attack Obama on his birth certificate and his past. Thats how we can win?
Trump to the rescue!
“disappearence of the United States “
Not only will US be reduced to second world power status, but he will appoint new SCOUS members, condemning our legal system to the Marxist view of justice for decades to come.
He will spend a billion dollars and pull out all the stops.
We must defeat him. That means a strong, winnable candidate and unity on our side. And no third party.
Agreed. Combine government unions, private sector unions, the 50% of the people who pay $0 Federal taxes, illegals, blacks, etc. and you have one heck of a big base.
Toss in the fact that the media is all pretty much in the tank for Obama, in the big cities it's Dems who are counting the votes, and their strong platform: "You're a racist if you don't vote for Obama", or "You want the poor and elderly to die if you don't vote for Obama", or "The filthy rich get away with murder", "Republicans want to destroy the planet so they can get rich", etc.
We need a really, really strong candidate this time... unlike McCain.
Here’s all that any voter needs to ask themselves in 2012:
“Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?”
LOL
How do you expect a Republican (let alone a CONSERVATIVE), to get the votes of people with the entitlement mentality?
95% will vote for The Messiah, again in 2012, just as they did in 2008.
It's now down to the "have's" vs. the "have not's", and the "have not's" are taking over as the majority now, including the illegals.
The republicans in congress are doing all they can to help him win.
It’s going to take independents to help out, for sure.
I wouldn’t worry that much about it. I was worried too when I saw some of the polls so I did a little research. The “samples” lean heavily democrat. It’s kind of easy to have good poll numbers when a larger percentage of the sample is democrat. The latest ABC poll was 360 dem, 280 repub and 310 Independent. If that wasnt bad enough 2/3 of the people were women (who are more liberal then men). If the Republicans ran their polls this way, we would be way further ahead of the pack than he is. What I am curious about is who exactly are they trying to convince? Maybe they are just covering for the voter fraud? I just don’t know.
he’s on track to be the next Jimmy Carter to my mind, barring some unforeseen development. With high unemployment, inflation, gas at five bucks and chaos in global security, almost anyone should be able to beat him. When things aren’t going well the voters always take it out on the man in charge, and despite his best efforts to dodge responsibility, that is Barry. He’ll win the black vote overwhelmingly but will have a tough time everywhere else.
That might be the problem. I suspect we will not have a Conservative up against Obama. At best, we will have a RINO like Romney, or Trump.
Skip military if you want to skip abortion. More war than Obama is less popular than stop abortion, stop NPR, etc. We lost in 2006 because of Iraq.
But, yes, the economy.
Typically, if the economy is bad, the incumbent party loses, and it doesn’t really matter too much who the candidates are.
>I think one comment, hammered over and over ... drill and refine ... would be a winner.
Jobs and bettered economy.<
Nope. Dems cheat and lie to win. Conservatives “pray”. Dems will do anything to win while conservatives best comment is “pray for the nation”.
That’s why we lose. It’s better to be a goody-2 shoes Freeper who is principled and nice.
There was one Freeper I remember that posted the day after Odumbo won. He/she claimed to fire the employees who had Obama stickers on their cars.
That’s the Freeper that wants to win.
You beat the Obama media you beat Obama.
Right. It’s almost always almost all about the economy. The economy is still really bad. But if we’re at 2% unemployment, Obama will be hard to beat.
