For the first time, Rep. Michele Bachmann – who is actively considering a run for the White House in 2012 -- has said that the birth certificate President Obama has released to the public puts an end to the "birther" issue. It came when I showed her the copy of the Certificate of Live Birth published on FactCheck.org.
It happened this morning on “GMA.” Here’s the key exchange:
Stephanopoulos: Last night you were on Fox News suggesting the president should come forward with his birth certificate as well --
Bachmann: Well, what I have said about that is, I was asked a question about that and Republicans are constantly asked to vouch for the authenticity of the birth certificate. The only one who can is the clerk of court in the county where someone is born and that’s where people should go. Don’t ask Republicans, go ask the clerk of court.

The US Constitution still says you must be a NATURAL BORN citizen to be eligible to be President of the US.To be a NATURAL BORN citizen both of your parents had to be citizens of the US when you were born.
Excuse me, but when has Hawaii ever done this?? I'm not aware of any issue of anything that actually qualifies as legal proof (i.e. notarized, testified to UNDER OATH, etc.).
Yeah, some Hawaiian officials have made "public statements". Politicians make "public statements all the time, mostly lies. Such do NOT provide certified proof.

No it doesn’t. IF his father was really Barack Obama, Sr. he is not a Natural Born Citizen since AT THE TIME OF HIS BIRTH his mother was not of age and therefore he was not automatically a NBC.
Nor does Hawaii certify anything wrt his birth.
What BC? There has not been a BC released. A COLB is not a BC.
Stephanopoulos: Well I have the president’s certificate right here. It’s certified, it’s got a certification number. It’s got the registrar of the state signed. It’s got a seal on it. And it says 'this copy serves as prima facie evidence of the fact of birth in any court proceeding.'
Bachmann: Well, then that should settle it.
Stephanopoulos: So it’s over?
Bachmann: That’s what should settle it. I take the president at his word and I think– again I would have no problem and apparently the president wouldn’t either. Introduce that, we’re done. Move on.
Stephanopoulos: Well this has been introduced. So this story is over?
Bachmann: Well as long as someone introduces it I guess it’s over.
Stephanopoulos: It’s right there.
Bachmann: Yeah, there you go. Because that is not the main issue facing the United States right now.
Bachman will never be nominated let alone elected. The best she could hope for is the VP but even that’s a stretch.
Correct even IF Hawaii were to certify that he was not a Natural Born Citizen it would still be up to Congress to get rid of him.

Trump put him in his place. Told him his position was deceitful because he had been co-opted.
Bachmann should have been shown it, because it was a given it would be discussed after her statement of a few days ago.
Doesn't she have a press team that preps her for interviews or proof reads speeches?.

And Hawaii has something to hide...because they give out COLB's easily for their own reasons....
That is another whole issue.
If Obama is not legally qualified to be president, everything else is moot.
Read the exchange. Your version is not what happened. Bachmann showed she is not up to the challenge.
You don’t know what a mess state documents are. The simple fact is that it is quite possible that one one knows what the truth is. But it is not just the birth certificate.The near total lack of a paper trail is rather amazing.
Both parents have to be citizens in order for the child to be a natural born citizen. Unless Frank Davis is Obama’a father, BHO is not eligible.
I guess she buys the race of Obama’s alleged father as African?
I beg to differ. If we had followed the US Constitution and confirmed the eligibilty of this President before he was allowed to run we would have had someone eligible and the economy may not have been where it is today.
The US Constitution trumps all other issues. Without the US Constitution nothing else matters.

Stephanopoulos handed her the gun, she willingly put it to her head and pulled the trigger.
While I agree that there are “more pressing issues”, she just took herself out of the game. IMHO
