Some of the best beach walking I have had has been on cool windy/stormy days. Not many people.

The ocean is a dangerous place, for sure.

Especially the SF Bay in April when hypothermia can hit you real quick if you end up in the water.

People up here go to the beach to look at the ocean very fully clothed, not to swim in it or get a tan.
