Race= AFRICAN shows the amateur status of the people who produced this
People averse to using the term “negro”
Kind of like the idiots who typed those fake letters about George Bush using a typewriter that wasn’t available at the time and date of the letter - and used terms that any military person recognized as fake
But hey
We STILL don’t know who took Air Focre One joyriding over Manhattan in 2009 and buzzed and terrorized the city and those poor souls at ground zero - do we?
I would agree with you that one mistake is enough to demonstrate that a proffered document is a forgery. But this document purports to be from 2007; not 1961. So it could be that PC do-gooders in Hawaii changed all the "Negroes" to "African Americans" and since that might have been too many letters for their database field it could have been truncated to "African."
ML/NJ
Maybe they really meant “African,” since Obama Sr. was an African.
Negro was the name used by African-Americans before they were called African-Americans.
So an African who was not African-American might have been called an African, not a Negro.
See?
I made that point two years ago when we at FR were hot and heavy on the trail of the elusive Obama LFBC.
It says "Negro" on my birth certificate, as well as all of my siblings, and we were all born between 1953 and 1963.
No one, but NO ONE used the term "African" to describe race in those days. And they STILL DON'T.
It's a blatant mistake by the incompetent forgers.
True. The 1960's was decade of the "negro" which was used as race. But we must also keep in mind that HI did not become a state until a few years before Obama's birth. Other nations use the term "African" as a race. We should somehow confirm that this indeed was the term used in HI in the early 1960s before we jump to any conclusions.
We would have to find a Certificate Of Live Birth of a black American born in HI at the same time to compare.
"African" is not a RACE. anyone born in Africa is 'African' and that includes hundreds of thousands of whites and other RACES.
This was just the same kind of dumb forgers mistake that jumps out of the page with anyone who's paying attention, the same as in the case of Rather's 'th' flub
