“We could all argue about this until the cows come home, but until this matter is settled by the USSC it will just be two competing schools of thought arguing with each other, nothing more.”

Except that there are numerous USSC decisions that refer to NBC and each one defines it as born in country to two citizen parents, and that the founding fathers used Vittals “Law of Nations” as the reference in writting the Constitution.

There is no rational reason why the Founding Fathers would want the highest office in the land to be available to anyone other than someone Thoroughly and Uniquely American. The vast majority of Americans are Natural Born Citizens and requiring that quality of citizenship is not an onerous requirement.

In fact allowing anyone not meeting that very basic quality of birth goes against the very reason of having eligibility in the first place.

Many would agree with you, including myself. But, there are others who would argue against our position. I believe it will take a USSC ruling to settle the matter once and for all.
