I had asked my cats if they objected to being called “pets”. They just looked at me as if I were daft. However that’s how they usually look at me.
Maybe she does more “things” with her pets that the rest of us, which prompts her to call them “companions”. Could it be some “heavy companioning” going on? Hummmmmmmmmmmmm?
I always insist that my dog refers to me as her “human carer”. I am insulted each time she forgets.
Calling liberals “human” is an insult to humans.
it could also be her “life partner”.
Fiona “FUBAR” MaCrae is batty, nutty as s squirrel, a braying jackass of journalism, crazy as a loon, dumber than dog$%*!, worthless as teats on a boar hog, and as clueless as an ostrich with its head stuck in a hole. Her theories make about as much sense as a dog chasing his tail, a chicken running with its head cut off, or a flip-flopping fish out of water. Just one more stupid animal rights story will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back! If she were wise as an owl she’d clam up.

Let me get this straight. China is expected to overtake the US by 2016, we’re printing and borrowing money like there’s no mañana, 0bama was willing to shut down the government rather than defund Planned Parenthood, outsourcing of US jobs continues at a steady rate, we’re now involved in 3 middle eastern wars, while our civil liberties at home are eroding, and this woman’s chief concern is what pets and pet owners are called.
Proof that some people have WAY too much time and money on their hands.
These “academics” can go Eff themselves.

And yes I mean look down. They usually hang out on the rail of my indoor balcony. Ocassionaly they saunter down demanding food or belly rubs.
How long before they want to call work animals “non-human slaves”?
I tried to count the levels of stupidity this reveals, and lost count.
If the bimbo only new what my cat’s names are after he pukes on the rug.....
