Donald Trump is just the newest enemy of the Obamunist State, ala Emanuel Goldstein.

He was a hero of the Left for supporting Hillary, and the Limousine Liberals brayed like sheep trying to get in to his fancy dress parties.

Then, he turns on his media-adored master, and becomes the MOST HATED MAN IN AMERICA, according to the mainstream media. This is the prevalent meme.
If you DARE to question a DEMOCRAT, or Democrat policy, you must be NUTZ!, you’re KRAZY!!!, you’re INSANE!.

“You don’t want to be associated with THOSE crazy people, do you? I thought you were smart!”

As Evidence, I’ll note this Facebook posting today, from someone (white) who I know isn’t very politically aware:

“Donald Trump has become a sad caracature of “the Man” of white society, an exploiter with a sense of superiority and entitlement.

I think it is so embarassing that our first African-American President was forced to “show his papers” as... if he is just some punk on the streets being targeted by a racist white police officer.

We’ve had lots of presidents who were not nearly as academically accomplished as our current president but since they were white this went unquestioned. It’s a stain, an embarassment, on American Whites in this country, that they took things to this degree with out first black President.

The implication is that a black president is somehow less competant, less capable, less intelligent, and less trustworthy than a white president. It’s a horrible embarassment, and I’m apalled.”

The framing works, and it sinks in to the psyche. Truth and fact no longer matter, anymore, just the meme.

And you thought “1984” was just a book?

Good point, if a bit discouraging.

My response to anyone who claims my opposition to an Obama policy is 'racist' is this: knowing my political convictions (Reagan Republican) do you seriously believe that I wouldn't have the same opposing view were the same policies being implemented by a white president, i.e. Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter? Do you really think I would approve of massive federal deficits, socialized health care, refusing to drill for U.S.-based oil, etc if a white man were the president behind them? The obvious answer to this rhetorical question is: no. The point being that, for most conservatives, our opposition to Obama is based on his policies and Marxist political ideology. His race is irrelevant.

That liberals are quick to use 'the race card' to deflect criticism of Obama demonstrates the speciousness of their position of attempting to, not really defend Obama's policies, but redirect attention away from them by introducing race into a discussion about policy, thus putting opponents of Obama on the defensive and changing the direction of the discussion from Obama's policies to the oppositions alleged 'racism'. Clever - but wearing thin from overuse. Millions of non-racist white people who are deeply concerned about the failing U.S. economy (and many other issues) won't forever allow their criticisms and concerns to be shunted aside by a leftist shouting 'racism!'. I won't - and neither should any other critic of Obama's feckless, destructive policies.
