Italy, France, etc. are involved because they get a significant percentage of their best oil from Libya. We think gas prices are high here, they are at least double over there. Also 2/3 to 3/4 of the oil comes from the east which could start exporting again if Kadaffi would settle down. I think the son that was killed is Saif-al-Arab, who was a playboy type, and reported by the Iranians to have defected in Feb. 2011. Yes. He made contact with NATO and asked them to carefully drop only the smallest JDAM onto the pink target he would raise onto the roof of a particular house. He had his son dipped in a big bucket of pink paint then hauled up to the roof and chained down. Then the colonel called in the NATO air strike.
