LOL! The media is more powerful than ever and people are far dumber than they ever have been. If it weren’t for the media, Obama would never have been elected in the first place. You vastly underestimate the power that they have over the populace.

people vote with their pocket book, not on foreign policy. This is certainly a positive for Obama, but it doesn’t change anything that actually impacts people day to day. I guess some here are saying the average voter is going to walk in the voting booth and put aside the fact that their bank account is low, their income stagnant or gone, their gas and food more expensive with each month, and say, gosh my life has sucked the last four years, but gosh darn it, Osama is dead.

Not going to happen. If there is significant economic improvement, the guy gets reelected; if there is modest to little improvement, could go either way; if it gets worse, he’s gone.

Maybe if you live on Planet Kos you believe that. The MSM is so predictable that they really have about as much credibility as Bagdad Bob anymore. You must be very young. I was a boy during the Cronkite Era. The monopoly, the sense of near deity they had about themselves they had back then, absolutely is not the limping caricature of power they have to day. Your assertions are without any stated basis in fact. Yes, the election of Obama was aided by the MSM, but the clones were prepared in advance by the liberal colleges and universities. The MSM was merely the catalyst operating on a public not yet awakened to the threat.

However, we are awake now, and November 2010 should have been the lab experiment sufficient to remove all doubt that the MSM has lost the monolithic authority it once had. They tried to limit the damage that was coming but couldn’t do it. They polled us and told us and pushed us and pulled us and we did what we wanted anyway.

You see, it is just as dangerous to overestimate your enemy as to underestimate them. Grant them too little power and you won’t try hard enough. Grant them too much power and you will defeat your own cause by giving up in despair. What do you think Tokyo Rose’s main mission was? To weaken the resolve to win, by causing people to believe the enemy was so in control that resistance was futile. So not only is it factually unsupportable to give the MSM too much credit, it’s bad strategically. There’s a block they influence, and then there’s everybody else. That’s how we won in 2010, and that’s how by God’s grace we will continue to win in 2012.
