I just heard on ABC radio news that bin Laden is to be buried at sea. Why in the world, after everything that has resulted from his actions, would they fail to produce a body as proof of his death?

WTH? Body should be frozen and kept on ice deep storage just in case any forensic analysis is needed in the future. (cross ref dna, prints, etc). You don’t discard evidence.

This is what I had in mind. At a minimum they need to preserve some samples. If there is an intact body then release a photo.
Eichman’s remains were cremated then dumped in international waters so the burial at sea is not surprising.
