BREAKING: CBS News obtains document linking asst. AG to ‘Gunrunner’
Seattle Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 4 May, 2011 | Dave Workman

CBS News is reporting that documents obtained by Congressional investigators looking into the Project Gunrunner scandal include a wiretap authorization from Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer dated in March 2010.

Read the CBS story by investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson here.

Also included in documents released by investigators is a January 8, 2010 “briefing paper” on Project Gunrunner from the Phoenix, AZ field division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The documents were released earlier today as the Senate Judiciary Committee convened for an oversight hearing on the Department of Justice.

One document indicates a Holder Asst. Attorney General, Lanny Breuer, authorized a wiretap in the controversial gun trafficking case headquartered in Phoenix. In that case, called "Fast and Furious," multiple sources say ATF allowed thousands of guns to hit the streets, destined for Mexican drug cartels.—CBS News

As reported by this column today, Attorney General Eric Holder professed considerable lack of knowledge about the Gunrunner operation, and its links to the slaying of Customs and Border Protection Agent Brian Terry last December. That prompted the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms to call for Holder’s resignation.

It’s his day to walk around, thump his chest, and show what a tough MAN he is.

Too bad it was Leon Panetta that gave the order to go - FuBO evidently became his useless self and dithered and hesitated, some are saying.

I heard the radio this morning, KYW (philly), I call it “KommieYW”. It’s Democrat Propaganda, all day, all the time - “President Obama goes to Ground Zero today, in a solomn ceremony, laying a wreath commemorating the victims of 9-11. He goes there as the President Who Killed Public Enemy No. 1”..Ann Compton, ABC News Reporting...”

I kid you not.

She sounded like she was creaming her jeans over it.

Look for either Holder, his asst. or both to resign in the next 30 days. Issa and Grassley have the e mails from the gun dealers trying to opt out of the “sting” because the gun dealers were hearing about all the killings, and felt guilty about it. This one is hot!

There aren’t enough pawns to placate Issa. He is after the big fish. I think this is going to get verrrrrrrrrryyyy interesting, too!

What kind of law enforcement power does the Issa/Grassely effort have behind it? Anything at all?

These guys need to burn over this, and badly.

” Issa and Grassely should be twisting the arm of EVERY GOP Congressman and Senator to get on board with this. “

therein lies the problem. The GOP should be doing collectively what Trump has done.

Most of them are spineless, gutless wimps.

At this point I think everyone is sick of these guys. I’m sure that includes law enforcement. Maybe not all of them (yet) but I am sure some of them are waking up.

This is actively conspiring with elements of a FOREIGN GOVERNMENT to undermine and subvert US Constitutional law.

Is this NOT grounds for criminal malfeasance, abuse of office, and removal?

Of course it is.

Now give me a list of Republican lawmakers who will go after the black POTUS?

I can’t give.

Cowardice is a curse of politicians.

I’d want to see the SEALs who killed OBL elected to office on the next go-around.

Not if the one who needs removing is supported by a crooked DOJ who does their own internal investigations and somehow never seems to be guilty of anything.

The GOP should be doing collectively what Trump has done.

Most of them are spineless, gutless wimps.

Many of the people that "rise" to the top of the cesspool known as Washington DC are corrupt and are petrified they will hang for their past transgressions.

J Edgar Hoover was famous for letting Congressmen know that the FBI has pictures from their last date, last murder last whatever and that they should be more careful in the future.

After those visits, the Congress criters knew their place. Similar today.

I’m with you there, but the Seals are under cover at least until they retire.

The problem from the BATF’s perspective is that the vast majority of narco-guns are NOT purchased from the US civvy gun-market; it’s Mexican soldiers selling their guns, or high-ranking Mexican officers selling their entire armories to traffickers.

This makes thin gruel for, “we need to ban the sale of all military-style weapons in the USA”. It complicates efforts to expand BATF head-count, funding, and legal powers.

So the BATF set out to MAKE SURE that weapons bought in the US civvy market did show up and get confiscated at Mexican drug hits.

This would be like the highway patrol pushing your car from behind at high-speed, and then pulling you over and ticketing you after you got over 55 mph.

And then saying they had removed a threat to public safety.

—>The whole sordid Gun Walker scandal more and more appears to be an allliance between the BATF and Mexican drug barons.<—

Which is the FIRST agency that would disappear in the impending financial implosion...? I would submit that it should be an agency that does things that result in US laws being broken and US agents getting killed.
