Bush probably saw what happened to Justice Alito, Paul Ryan, and Trump when they attend events where Obama is to speak. He chose wisely.

Not only Bush but the Clintons as well saw fit to evade this squalid exploitation event. When the Clintons show more class than Obama does that makes a strong statement. With Bush we at least expect some class.
I would hope the "9/11 families" would see through this as well, but I guess not so many.
