ISLAMABAD (AP) - Pakistan's army broke its silence Thursday over the U.S. commando raid that killed Osama bin Laden, acknowledging its own "shortcomings" in efforts to find the al-Qaida leader but threatening to review cooperation with Washington if there is another similar violation of Pakistani sovereignty.
The tough-sounding statement was a sign of the anger in the army. It also appeared aimed at appeasing politicians, the public and the media in the country over what's viewed by many here as a national humiliation delivered by a deeply unpopular America.
While international concerns are centered on suspicions that elements of the security forces sheltered bin Laden, most Pakistanis seem more upset that uninvited American soldiers flew into the country, landed on the ground and launched an attack on a house - and that the army was unaware and unable to stop them. That it happened in an army town, next door to a military academy and close to the capital has added to the embarrassment.

Were I POTUS, I’d advise them to chill out and have a long cool glass of STFU. I’d also remind them about that $30 bil a year we toss their way.
Cut their money off. If they give us an ultimatum, give them one back. Quit playing with them.
And how are they going to stop future raids?
Remember this is only in the news because of the crash of one chopper and that one live twitter.
Don’t the Pakis have enough to worry about with India without pissing USA off?
They can review their co-operation any time they like and be damned. The only co-operation they have given us is to cash the checks we send them/.

That was the same tone of warning the women’s dorm manager warned our frat: “do not raid the coed’s dorm”. We still did though (wink).
If we had told them, Osama would be living in a different safe house and the Pakis would have mucho dinero in their pockets.

The Paki Army was unaware and unable to stop them. The Seals were on the ground for over 40 miniutes. Bin Laden’s house was less than a thousand yards from a military base. Why couldn’t they respond?
Hmm. Maybe they will prosecute another “haditha massacre” show trial against the Americans.
Yea, that is scary.....
Here’s another raid we should do in Pak: Confiscate their nukes. Destroy their capacity to make them. Problem solved.
Bam had a college buddy from Pakistan. He even went there. I’m sure he wanted to blab but was kept from doing so. He’s probably crying because the Paki’s are mad.
