Many Posters here have come up with reasons that we haven't seen much push back from Al Queda and others, but time will tell.
I still feel this Administration is making this an issue by changing the story and withholding information from the American people. It is unnecessary, and I think we both agree on that point.
We have gruesome pictures of three dead bastards, one of which is probably OBL'S Son, but they have not sparked the violence you think would happen. Why is that? Conjecture is all we have at this point.
Some nutcase Jihadist might be steaming over the fact that the Seals had a Dog with them inside their Holy Leader's house. That could be enough to set them off. Who knows, they are all nuts anyway.
There is more to this story and Obama’s attitude is making things worse. Transparency is a ghost to this Administration and this is only one small part.
Anyway, I appreciate the time you invested explaining your opinion. Many here just tell other posters to go fly a kite.
I appreciate your response, and I don’t have any objection to anything you said. In fact I think it was a nice post. Thank you.
When discussing these matters I feel compelled to give my side of the conversation the full support it deserves. I sometimes play a contrarian role because I think there is another side that I want folks to contemplate.
Here I do have mixed thoughts on the subject. I will have to say that I lean about 80/20 in favor of what I have been promoting. It did bother me to go across so many threads and see folks completely dismiss this issue as if there was only one decision that could be made here.
Herman Cain was roundly criticized last night on the forum for taking the opinion I had. I took this position before the debate and only found out during it that he agreed with me based on the same grounds. That’s not presented as conclusive proof that I was right. It’s provided as a side note. The other four candidates agreed with you.
Anyway, I appreciate the fact that you realized I was arguing this academically, and didn’t take offense to some of my wording that seemed to put you on the sport more than I should have. Sometimes there are rather sensitive statements that do need to be made in the course of a discussion. I wasn’t trying to be mean or blatantly inconsiderate, and your acceptance of those arguments did make for a more productive debate IMO.
It allowed people to understand the concept, without turning it into a real flame war. Very nice.
I do not, and never did think you don’t care about our troops, and your relatives in the region make that very clear. I appreciate their service very much, and care about them very much. Here’s to them coming home healthy as can be.
Take care.
