Saudi Woman Charged With Hate Crime
PALM BAY, Fla. -- Police in Palm Bay said a woman originally from Saudi Arabia was spitting on Walmart shoppers over the weekend.
"Americans are pushing us around," 21-year-old Nuha Mohammed Al-Doaifi allegedly told police.
Al-Doaifi now faces a charge of a felony hate crime after a Walmart security guard reported the woman's spitting.
A couple of customers claim Al-Doafi, who is a student at the Florida Institute of Technology living in Melbourne, spat on them.

Spitting on someone is considered a misdemeanor, but police said they elevated her charge to a hate crime -- a third-degree felony -- when she made the comment about Americans "pushing us around."
Al-Doafi had her toddler son with her at the store when she was arrested. Her husband picked up the child at the police department while Al-Doafi was taken to jail.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance video from inside the store.
Her husband said she was accused of spitting on one of her professors at F.I.T. and she was counseled.

Palm Bay PD did the right thing here. Local State Atty wussy Norm Wolfinger must be sweating bullets in hopes this woman gets sent home before he has to decide whether to bring it to trial.
Based on the way I’ve been treated in walking into WalMart recently, it was probably the “greeter”.

Hate crime designations are preposterous and unnecessary. We already have laws that cover this particular crime. They just need to enforce the laws of the land. Nutjob Mohammed Al-Doofus should count herself as lucky she’s not in some Muslim country. They’d pour acid over her tongue or at least there’d be spit inside her burka
Oh I don’t agree. I’ll bet with a cleanup, good makeup, and a happier situation, she’d be quite lovely. Probably sold to her first cousin husband at age 16 too. But SPITTING ON PEOPLE??? A ball gag could fix that. Whatcha think Laz?
And these days, probably worse than just germs, as if that’s not gross enough! It makes me sick to see the non-stop commercials here (AZ) about whooping cough. Something I thought we eradicated. And they even show the hacking, spitting baby ...
And who knows what else is coming in from these backwards, sometimes savage, 3rd world countries.

Americans in general, leave people alone unless they do something to invite a problem. I'll bet there's more to this story.

I think the medical term is Anti-Spastic Spitting Syndrome also known as ASS.
