KABUL (Xinhua) -- Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar has been killed in Pakistan, a private television channel reported Monday.

"Mullah Omar was killed on way from Quetta to North Waziristan, " TOLO television said in its news bulletin.

However, it did not provide details on how he was killed and by whom.

Meanwhile, a security official confirmed the killing, saying, " it is correct that Mullah Omar has been killed."

But he did not disclose details

Resilient dude. He’s suffered numerous deaths since 2001. We’re not dealing with regular human debris here.

lol!

If true, it means Obama hasn’t stopped rendition nor has he stopped enhanced interrogation.

Forget Osama’s stash...there’s more to this than meets the “eye”, so to speak. ;o)

When bin Laden was killed, a Freeper whimsically asked..”an early October suprise?”.

If this is true, could Obomba have felt that what little bump in the poles he received had to be strengthened by yet another already know whereabouts of terrorist leaders?

I believe Al Qaeda wasn’t too sad that Bin Laden was taken out....he was only the poster child....not the brains.

Omar......he’s the brains and poster child and I don’t think they will ever admit if he has already or when ever he may be killed.

It would be too damaging to the organization.

...he was only the poster child....not the brains.

Very true.

Right now I'm reading Mastermind-an amazing book by Richard Miniter-which chronicles the life of Khalid Sheik Mohammed.

It seems like he was responsible for ninety percent of the Al Qaeda terror plots that actually came to fruition

I think Bin Laden would remained an isolated, takfiri crackpot in the Jalalabad mountains-according to Lawrence Wright that's what he was at the time-without KSM's expertise.
