The US President was offered the chance to receive the King Charles II medal, which is awarded in “exceptional circumstances” to heads of state who have “made an outstanding contribution to furthering scientific research in their country”.

Hm. Well, it looks like a scam prize in any case then -- they just wanted an excuse for a fancy banquet.

Apparently that award has the credibility of the Nobel Prize nowadays. What in the heck has Obama done to "further scientific research" at any time. Anyone wanting to give him that prize deserves to be stiffed.

That’s what I thought. Any group of scientists that would give Barry a medal isn’t worth much.
