I would think Jim and FR would then concentrate their efforts on offices other than the presidency. That’s what many disgruntled conservatives did in ‘08. It might actually work out very well, as ‘12 looks like a cycle in which conservative gains in congress and state races could be extended.
I think you’re right.
I’d have to hold my nose to vote for “fill in the name of any of the squishes here” and mourn our Republic.
But I am not about to cede defeat before the battle begins!
