On the article page, there is a pdf file of interview of one of the officers.
It is reported that the Guerena family is involved with the drug cartel. It is also noted that they are involved in “drug rips”. I believe this is where gangs raid other gangs of money and drugs.
In addition, the Guerena family is noted for being involved in a double homicide.
It might be a good idea FOR ALL OF YOU COP HATERS...to wait for more information to come out on this. This may not be the best case to float your silly, “we are a police state” fantasies.
It might be good if you didn’t take allegations and reshape them into facts.
Past reports indicated the family involvements in home invasions and a double homicide were THEIR BROTHER’S HOME BEING INVADED AND HIS BROTHER AND SISTER IN LAW BEING MURDERED DURING THE HOME INVASION.
Something is seriously wrong when a families of victims of a double homicide, are now assumed to be guilty by association with their family’s victimization.
The SWAT CMDR performing the assault is briefed and given the impression the victim is a bad guy, but then is told not to give a report, but a transcript taken to apparently provide answers to leading questions posed by those directing the raid.
IMHO, it would be just irony if warrants were issued by others to conduct a similar SWAT raid on the homes of those who directed the raid initially. Let them live by the same laws they have established.
Don’t let hyperbole get the best of you. There are few ‘cop haters’ on FR.
What I read regularly is people very concerned with laws that destroy liberty, create a mismatch between cops and ‘civlivians’ (cops are civilians) and the general change from police to paramilitary LE.
None of those three trends are good, not for America and are essentially unAmerican.
It seems what we have here is the potential for an honest-to-God Greek tragedy.
Hard working ex-Marine is gunned down in his home by trigger-happy SWAT team.
There is, of course, the problem that members of Guerena and Celeya families have been arrested on numerous occasions and are involved in drug trafficking. Their homes have been used for both drops and storage, and murders may have taken place within them. Because I despise Sheriff Dupnik, I am willing to pin the blame for shoddy work on his SWAT team. There is, however, one very troubling aspect to all of this. In Jose’s garage was found a Border Patrol hat. That one sticks in my craw.

You are a very disingenuous and scary individual.
So others understand, on another thread you already had the dead homeowner guilty and when asked how you knew this since the dead guy could not speak for himself and there had not been a trial, you repeatedly evaded the question and refused to answer.
*You* are a real piece of work.
“Im calling this drug dealing dirt bag a former fricking Marine.”
