Palin/Bachmann 2012 - Twice the courage of the incumbents.
There’s some reasons to avoid a Palin/Bachmann duo. Even Team Obama thought they needed a white man on the ticket for purposes of traditionalism, resulting in us having a buffoon as VP. There’s no inherent racism or sexism to it, just the general thought (perhaps incorrect) that a two-minority ticket wouldn’t do well. Women are, of course, not really minority, but are often categorized that way. And, of course, there is always the threat of real sexism, such as displayed by Chris Matthews, Ed Schultz, and Obama in 2008. You’ll remember there was no outrage from liberals over sexism on their own side, which means they lose nothing by employing such tactics again.
