Last month about two miles from my home in NE Philly we also experienced a short not to destructive tornado. It rip some roofs off houses, damaged a few streets of highly populated business section, but I believe no one was badly injured.
First time I remember hearing of a a twister that lasted many minutes in Philly. We had a very modest earthquake last year as well. Again. Very rare occurrence for Philadelphia area.
