No way. I’m a petite female. Got enough trouble with what I open carry now. ;)

I would love to open carry, and my state supposedly allows for it. I’m not pushing the issue, and CC whenever I go out. I have inside-the-waistband holsters, so in the house I’ll use them, but not care about the shirt covering. At my clients, I conceal deeply (LCP) so I don’t make waves.

I would open carry if I could, considering all the options and arguments laid out before me. I’m a small guy (29 inch waist, 135 lbs) and Concealing has greatly limited the kinds of firepower I can carry with me. Open carry would open me up to more choices in firearms make and models.

Ditto. PA is an OC state. Tried OC for awhile and found myself being hit on....by other women. Effin’ scary that was. Carry in my purse now...or in a jacket pocket depending on where I be.

Funny!

I like the element of uncertainty.

"I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"

Evidence is critical to such assertions.

I’m with you. I carry but I have a CWP. Why give those TSA wannabe cops a chance to pat you down after maybe shooting you first.

99% of people either don’t notice, or don’t say anything. I have only had a handful of encounters, and all of the good or neutral.

This has been my experience also.

I open carry sometimes & concealed carry sometimes. My decision depends on what I am going to be doing, what I will be wearing and the weapon I choose to carry, on a particular day.

A full-sized 1911 .45 is a great self-defense weapon, but it's tough to conceal while wearing shorts and a t-shirt, while a Bond Arms Snake Slayer fits nicely in the pocket of any shorts I'LL be wearing. But, even though it is samll, the derringer slides/bounces around a lot in my pocket when I'm running around playing catch at the park with my son, so sometimes a small to medium revolver securely holstered on the hip works best. Etc. etc.

And speaking of 'Carry Encounters': I recently attended a concert at the Hampton Coliseum to which I carried (concealed) a Smith&Wesson .38S&W revolver. The weapon was discovered during the security 'pat-down' at the entrance, and the coliseum management folks REALLY pushed hard trying to talk me in to taking it back to my car. However, the Hampton Police Major on the scene was having none of it. He made it clear that it was legal for me to carry the weapon in to the venue, and he flatly stated that he was not even going to try to stop me or talk me out of it. And that's the closest thing I have experienced to a 'negative' encounter when carrying, open OR concealed.
