It is amazing that Pima County SWAT doesn’t own a bullhorn. If I can’t hear ‘open up’ on the video, how could anyone hear from the far side of the house?

They also need to buy a new siren. One that doesn’t sound like a car alarm, and then they need to leave it on long enough for someone to know it WASN’T a car alarm.

That is what bothers me about this shooting. If they did it to my house (SE of Tucson), I’d hear a car alarm, then hear a commotion at the front door. I’d grab my 44 revolver and head that way, just in time for the door to come open and for me to be shot for the crime of holding a 44 Mag while a cop was near.

After I bled to death, they could search my house and find more guns than this guy had, military uniforms with rank wadded up in the back of the closet, an old flight helmet and old bank statements. They could then speculate about why I go ‘jogging’ in the desert by myself, and ask if my horses were just for riding, or if they were used for hauling drugs.

And since I’d be dead, I couldn’t give an answer...

The only reason the wife isn’t dead is because she was on the phone with 911.

As an aside, if you want to be really sick, listen to that 911 call where the most moronic operators ever stall the wife and pretend they can’t understand her accent. Here in Tucson where almost all the jobs like that are bilingual and there are tons of Mexican accents.

Oops, sorry, just saw that you’re nearby — you know then about accents and such!
