Alcohol addicts some. Drugs seem to addict most. Is that the society you want?
The government can't protect people from themselves. Those who are too stupid to poison themselves will poison themselves and die. I personally don't intend to stand between an addict and his drugs. If I were the dictator, I'd give a free picnic basket full of most deadly drugs to every gangbanger.
Withdrawal from narcotics (including Heroin) doesn’t kill people — it just makes them feel like they want to die. They survive.
Withdrawal from alcohol or xanax or other diazepams can really kill people.
Ridiculous. Thousands of people take Oxycontin every day and are not addicted, just like thousands of people drink alcohol every day and are not addicted. The abuse is in the personality, not the chemical.
