Michelle Bachmann's new top consultant, Ed Rollins, began his tenure with scathing criticism of potential Bachmann rival Sarah Palin.
"Sarah has not been serious over the last couple of years," Rollins told Brian Kilmeade on his radio show, Kilmeade and friends. "She got the Vice Presidential thing handed to her, she didn't go to work in the sense of trying to gain more substance, she gave up her governorship."
He suggested that the contrast would favor Bachmann.
"Michele Bachmann and others [have] worked hard, she has been a leader of the Tea Party which is a very important element here, she has been an attorney, she has done important things with family values."
"She is probably the best communicator [in the GOP field] now that Mike Huckabee's not in there," he said.
Rollins has long been skeptical of Palin, but his new role with Bachmann suggests that criticism will become part of her campaign, though she has publicly praised the former Alaska governor.
On amnesty he was just wrong, but he came around. And he’s stayed on the right side of the fence ever since.
On taxes, I think it makes sense to give the guy a bit of a break. When you live in a state where the legislature is democrat and they need only a simple majority to over-ride a veto, then there’s a whole host of things that need to be considered that the purity freaks around here simply don’t want to consider.
If I was POSITIVE taxes were going to be raised, and I could weigh in on TaxA or TaxB, and TaxB had some aspects I liked better, then I would have quotes in favor of TaxB that would appear bad in a purist-anti-tax discussion, but would perfectly rational in the situation at the time.
I’m a purist about pro-life, so I understand where the tax purists come from, but taxes aren’t even close to the importance of life.

No sale here. Being solidly pro-life isn’t good enough. So is Joe Lieberman.
The pro-life comment was about me, not about Huck. Although, he is pro-life.
I’m late to reading this, but you typed out every single thought that was running through my mind.
Yep, this could end up costing her her house seat. She’ll piss off the Palin fans that sent her a bucketload of money in her last campaign (that she only won by a few percentage points, considering the money difference). And she just might lose that automatic “invite” that she has enjoyed from Rush, Sean, and Mark.
High price indeed.
He's bad news & Backmann should show him the door ASAP!
It was a guy thing, a way of saying, “you really don’t want to f*** with me...you’re too light on your feet.”
Backstabbing &*$%#*(*()&&: "I love you, Mitt.
I'll hire Rollins for you.
We will attack (Gov.) Palin (who helped me) for you."
Go Sarah!
miss marmel, no need to apologize. I was actually rooting you on!
A humongous ditto on that!
Gotcha . . .

Romney for the GOP elite and moderates. Bachmann gathers in the Tea Party & Socons
It's an appeal to all Dream Team. What could go wrong?
I LIKE IT WHEN YOU SHOUT (so long as I’m not the target).
James Garfield was the only sitting representative ever to be elected to the presidency.
LOL Go count your beans, honey.
You’ve got your little panties in quite the twist. Go have some warm milk and lie down for awhile. You’ll feel better.
I don’t wear panties. Maybe you do. Did you piss me off? Yes, indeed and I told you what I thought. I find it telling that the only answers you can give are insults. As I said before make sure of your facts before bad mouthing someone and you won’t have to deal with people like me who can’t stand liars and people who twist statements and facts to suit themselves.
Does "it" tell on you as well? After all, you've hurled more disgusting insults at me than I've even hinted at with you.
Good grief, what a hypocrite you are.
