Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin are taking the Republican presidential race by storm even though neither has formally announced they will run.
The former Alaska governor and the Minnesota congresswoman, who insist they are friends not rivals, are showing all the signs that they will provide GOP voters with their first genuine opportunity to vote for a female in the White House in 12 years.
Each has the money, the backing, and the name recognition to go the distance against the men. And, as GOP Pollster Kellyanne Conway points out, their groomed attractiveness is also a major plus.
They look like homecoming queens, but they talk like Ronald Reagan. Who wouldnt want that combination? Conway tells the Washington Post.

I wish FR folk discussing Sarah and Michele could get along as fabulously well as Palin and Bachmann.
Sarah and Michele are NOT enemies.
Sarah came to town and, in front of thousands of enthusiastic fans, praised Michele and spoke at the rally for her campaign.
Rollins is not my favorite guy and I too would urge MB to re-consider hiring him. But folks here are wrong to take his TV commentary as personal attack from Michele on Sarah.
Nobody is perfect. Bachmann should address the Rollins problem, of course. And Sarah can address Ed’s contention about not being ‘serious’ (keep in mind, to Ed, that means building a political machine rather than an audience) by ANNOUNCING ALREADY. Or at least announcing that you are soon going to announce - as Michele has done.
The folks who really are not ‘serious’ are those suggesting Michele is just there to help Romney or to hurt Sarah. Nonsense. Utter nonsense.
Bachmann is the real deal. No RINO enabler whatsoever. She is a GOP incumbent slayer (I’d say RINO, but I know the guy and he is incredibly nice, hard working and honest - just not as Right as Michele).
LOL and it’s really sticking in Romneys craw. He’s now intimating that they are a 3rd party that will split the GOP.
Two very Conservative females mothers of five children are oil and water? Granted their educational and political backgrounds are different, but their Patriotism, personal values and Conservative views are very similar.
I like Bachmann, but that's wrong. She broke Reagan's 11th Amendment.
How much executive experience did the Founding Fathers have?
Since you posted twice, I guess you are begging a response twice. Here goes: How much executive experience did the Founding Fathers have?
Then they should be getting along better and not throwing potshots at one another...
“Comparing Palin to Bachmann is like comparing the WW-II Normandy vet to the state-side Fort Dix recruit.”
Well put. After watching Sarah on the Chris Wallace interview, I see a candidate who knows what it takes and ready to take it on.
I agree Frank.
I actually doubt that. Where were the two-citizen parent birthers, for example, who objected to Bush’s attempt to take habeas corpus rights from an American citizen: Jose Padilla? Where were those who objected to the failure to declare war in Iraq and Afghanistan? Where were those who objected the systematic violations of each and every amendment in the Bill of Rights that takes place on a daily basis in the War on Drugs?
Dude, Bachmann is a joke. She is actually more gaffe-prone than Palin and is working for the establishment.
I will not support Bachmann if she somehow in Hell wins the GOP nomination.
You really believe the leftist media will leave Bachmann alone? They will chew her up and spit her out. She will wilt under the liberal media pressure. She can’t handle it.
Totally agree, you nailed it.
Not my fault this was posted twice. When I hit the post button, it stalled, so I hit it again, not knowing it would post twice. Sorry about that.
